Now this will be pretty much for the newbies who read this is. Have you ever noticed how when you try to leave a site that famous pop up box springs out of nowhere and tried to still sell you that product, but and a reduced price, say 50%? By the way this is a good tactic for the buyer, you. If you do not want to pay $197 for some piece of software, there a good chance that the guy will offer it to you at $98.00 if you try and leave, which is of course much more reasonable for most. So keep that in mind. Anyways, this is for you guys. Have you made a squeeze page to collect email addresses? Or several pages, but one of them just is not doing very well? Then instead of just losing that potential lead, use that pop up tactic to send them to another squeeze page, and even another if they try to get out of that.
You see chances are you will get them to sign up on one of the squeeze page sites. So when you create these pages, make sure you spread out the type of products you are offering to people. Now you can not anticipate everybody’s needs but you can stack the odds in your favor. So pick three major categories that you think people would be interested in your niche. Lets say your promoting a golf site, or own a golf business. Well make your three squeeze pages about, a better golf swing, best golf courses in the world, best golf equipment. You get the picture. In the end I’m sure your potential lead will be interested in one of those squeeze pages and sign up for the free information. Pop ups do not have to just be for offering a discount to people. Learn to think out side of the box.
You see in the end it only matters that you get them on your list. You can always segment your list later when you see what people respond to when your doing your email campaigns. When you have one squeeze page that sends them to another, then another your chances on grabbing that potential lead triples. Do not do anymore then three though, you do not want to make people mad. So have your programmer set up your exit boxes today and start getting those leads in your mailing list. If you do not have a programmer, and or are using the WordPress platform for your squeeze pages and blogs, then simply type in “exit pop ups,” or “exit boxes” and a good list of plugins that are compatible will come up. Simply install and create a message that people will see and take them to the next squeeze page.
